My name is Marie Sépulchre and I'm an Assistant Professor at the School of Social Work at Lund University in Sweden. My research centres on disability, citizenship, activism, social inequality, social justice and the right to non-discrimination in higher education. I received my PhD from Uppsala University, where I studied the claims of disability activists in Sweden – the thesis was reworked and published as the book Disability and Citizenship Studies (Routledge). In my current research project, I explore how the notion of disability discrimination is understood in two different contexts - Sweden and the United States - with a focus on higher education. 

Jag heter Marie Sépulchre och är universitetslektor på Socialhögskolan vid Lunds Universitet. Min forskning handlar om funktionshinder (disability), medborgarskap, aktivism, social ojämlikhet, social rättvisa och rätten till icke-diskriminering i högre utbildning. Jag disputerade vid Uppsala universitet med en avhandling om funktionsrättsaktivism i Sverige – avhandlingen omarbetades och publicerades som en bok Disability and Citizenship Studies (Routledge). I mitt nuvarande forskningsprojekt undersöker jag hur diskriminering på grund av funktionsnedsättning förstås i två olika kontexter - Sverige och USA - med ett fokus på högre utbildning.
